The three days between October 31st and November 2nd see pagan and Christian celebrations intertwined in a fascinating way.
All Hallow's Eve, usually called Halloween(Hallows Eve), is followed by
All Hallow's Day which is also know as All Saints Day(All Hallows's Day).
The next day is All Souls' Day, and the three day period is a perfect example of superstition struggling with religious belief.

Hallowe'en is a holiday celebrated on the night of October 31. The term Halloween is shortened from All-hallow-even and also which is now known as All Saints' Day. Traditional activities include trick-or-treating, Halloween festivals, bonfires, costume parties, visiting "haunted houses" and viewing horror films. It originated from the Pagan festival Samhain, celebrated among the Celts of Ireland and Great Britain. Irish and Scottish immigrants carried versions of the tradition to North America in the nineteenth century. And now it is celebrated in several parts of the western world, most commonly in Ireland, the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, and the United Kingdom. Hallowen is very famous in western world but not knowing in arabic world.
Guy Fawkes night or Bonfire Night,is an annual celebration but not a public holiday on the evening of the 5th of November primarily in the United Kingdom but also in former British colonies New Zealand. The celebrations, which in the United Kingdom take place in towns and villages across the country, involve fireworks displays and the building of bonfires, on which "guys", or dummies, representing Guy Fawkes, the most infamous of the conspirators, are traditionally burnt. The Sussex Bonfire Societies are responsible for the series of bonfire festivals around Eastern Sussex and Western Kent during October and November.
The origin of these societies is in the town of Lewes. Lewes has seven separate societies and on the 5 November the town is host to six separate bonfires.

Guy fawkes tried to blow up the English parliament.
He tried to kill King James also.
He did that because Queen Elizabeth made some laws against about Roman Catholics.

Homes are often decorated with these symbols around Halloween.
5-This tradition isn't exist in the Arabs states and I think also , not exist in all Isalamic country.






Guy Fawkes night

1-For 400 years, bonfires have burned, on November 5th 1605 to mark the failed Gunpowder Plot, which represents British tradition .

2-The people begin placing effigies on bonfires, and fireworks were added to the celebrations.
3-Still today, some communities throw dummies of both Guy Fawkes and the Pope on the bonfire .
4-Preparations for Bonfire Night celebrations include making a dummy of Guy Fawkes, which is called "the Guy". Some children even keep up an old tradition of walking in the streets, carrying "the Guy" they have just made, and beg passersbys for "a penny for the Guy." The kids use the money to buy fireworks for the evening festivities.
5-Now ,bonfire Night is not only celebrated in Britain, but also, New Zealand and Newfoundland in Canada.

Hello! I'm Gokhan. I have never seen halloween, because my country doesn't celebrate this day. Turkey has got different culture. So I wonder about other cultures. I think I'll see a lot of pumpkins everywhere.Very beautiful and lightened pumpkins. And people will go outside to have a fun night. People will organize very big parties. Streets will be very colourful and crowded. People will drink a lot of alcohol.I hope. Atmosphere will be very hot and sincere.
Guy Fawkes Night; I don't know about this day, but I'm sure I'll like this day, because I like all kind of fire, because I play with fire stuff. And I think, a lot of people will play fire staff, fire poi or other fire toys on Guy Fawkes Night . So, I was scout in the past and we burned very big camp bonfire at each camp. It's really funny and warm. I'm waiting for these days with impatience.

Hi, Dear Partners!!. My name is Víctor and I'm Spanish. I was born in a beautifull city at the South of Spain called Córdoba (near to Seville, Granada, Malaga...) where we have a former Muslim Mosque, becuase my city was the most important Emirate in the the world over the centuries VII-IX. New language learning is a very hard job but if you can do something maybe this job will be easier.I haven't got advice for this topic because I haven't got experience of English learning. But I think, if you can study well, you can do this.Learning words is very important for learning English .You should always learn new words so you should always put a dictionary in your pocket or bag. You should read an English book, newspaper...and you should listen to English music or radio, and you should watch an English television channel.But the very important thing is speaking to other people in pubs, cafes, streets...all the places to learning English. Finally, you should organize your life.
